James 'Jim' Clinton Ely

James "Jim" Clinton Ely, age 39 of Cleveland, died Friday, June 2, 2017 at Mayo Hospital - Mankato. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Cleveland with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in Savidge Lake Cemetery in Cleveland.

Jim was born on August 31, 1977 in St. Peter to Clinton "Bud" and Elsie (Gehrke) Ely. He graduated from Cleveland High School and received a degree in machining at South Central College in Mankato. Jim was united in marriage to Deb Kukacka on July 8, 2000 at the Church of Christ in Cleveland. Jim worked in sales at PetroChoice in Northfield for 15 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoorsman.

Jim is survived by his wife, Deb Ely of Cleveland; mother, Elsie Ely of Cleveland; children, Vincent Anderson of S. St. Paul, Amanda Heck (fianc�, Jeremy Morsching) of Waseca, and Elsa Ely of Cleveland; sister, Susan Ely of Cleveland; mother-in-law, Marietta "Toots" Kukacka; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis "Denny" (Sandy) Keogh, Edward "Ed" (Jean) Keogh, and Pamela Kukacka; and many other relatives and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Clinton "Bud" Ely; and father-in-law, George Kukacka.
