Jerome Patrick Claffey

Jerome Patrick Claffey, 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at his home in Kilkenny. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny.

Jerome was born on January, 23, 1933 in Kilkenny to Francis and Grace (Doyle) Claffey. He was united in marriage to Patricia Loftus in 1952 at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny. Jerome was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who brought laughter to his family and those fortunate enough to know him. He enjoyed playing cards, spending time at the casino, socializing and loved working on the farm.

Jerome is survived by his children, Kathy Blaschko of Lonsdale, Margaret (Francis) Smith of Le Center, Colleen (Roger) Schrom of Maple Grove, John (Ann) Claffey of Le Center, Patti (Chip) Hutton of Eden Prairie, Michael (Sheila) Claffey of Dayton, Bobby (Debbie) Claffey of Le Center, Francis (Angela) Claffey of North Bend, WA, and Lori (Pete) Anderson of Prior Lake; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Claffey of Le Center and special companion and loving pet, Sparky.

He is preceded in death by, parents; loving wife of 37 years Patricia Claffey; son, Jim Claffey and brother, Clayton Claffey.
