Jim Olson

James Olson, 68, of Cleveland, MN passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 doing what he loved best � fishing with his grandson at their lake home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am, Friday, June 29, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, MN, with visitation 1 hour prior at the church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Church Cemetery in Adams MN.

Jim was born on May 9, 1950 in Austin, MN to Arne and Leona Catherine (Kloeckner) Olson. Jim was united in marriage to Sharon Ilene Young on September 28, 1968 in Austin, MN. Jim had a career in food service since 1968 and operated his own business, Bridge Street Enterprises, since 2004. Jim was currently president of Key City Kennel Club in Mankato, MN. Jim was also a Charter member and Treasurer of the North Star Working Group, and an AKC Judge.

Jim put the family first and was always willing to open the doors and let people stay with us at any time for any amount of time. Jim loved his family, especially his two grandchildren who brought him much joy. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, and walking on the beach listening to the waves crash. He was proud of his movie collection that his son set-up for him. He was passionate about animals � dogs, cats, birds, and wildlife. Jim had an incredible sense of humor and was quick to tease, crack jokes and make you smile.

Jim is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sharon Olson of Cleveland, MN; son, James (Zoe) Olson of Ojai, CA; grandchildren, James Cruz (Jimmy) Olson, and Zia Rosa Leona Olson.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Kenneth Olson and Paul Olson.
