John Francis Vyskocil

John Francis Vyskocil, 72, of Montgomery, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Mayo Health Systems in Rochester. Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Mass of Christian burial will also be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.

John was born on June 13, 1943 in Montgomery to Edward F. and Agnes (Janouch) Vyskocil. He was a graduate of Montgomery High School and served in the U.S. Navy. John was united in marriage to Fern Foster on April 11, 1964 in Montgomery.

John enjoyed fishing and hunting with family, was a good family man, loved all animals, had a contagious laugh and had a twinkle in his eye. He also loved his work as an auto mechanic.

John is survived by his wife, Fern Vyskocil of Montgomery; daughters, Lisa (Kevin) Spieker of Bingham Lake, Stephanie Harvey-Vyskocil of Olean, New York and Jennifer Vyskocil of Montgomery; grandchildren, Emily and Sarah Speiker, and Amanda Richardson; siblings; Don (Sandra) Vyskocil of Coon Rapids, Mildred Hallet of Faribault, Viola (Walter) Kelsey of Faribault, and Mary Lou (Charles) Schmitz of Faribault.

John is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry, Alvin, George, Edward and Raymond; sisters, Irene Covey, and Elsie Boldt.

Military honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Honor Guard.
