Joseph Anthony Tamborino

Joseph Anthony Tambornino, age 95, of Le Center, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Ecumen in Le Center. Visitation will be Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center. Mass of Christian Burial will also be at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in the spring. Memorials are preferred to St. Mary\'s Building Fund.

Joseph was born on September 20, 1919 to Alphonse and Lillian (Farnan) Tambornino in Le Center. He graduated from Le Center High School. Was united in marriage to Edith Arlene Murray on September 8, 1943 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center. He worked for Le Sueur Newspaper, Spors and also worked on the farm.

He enjoyed gardening, tree planting, being outdoors, square dancing, traveling throughout the United States visiting family and friends.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Edith Tambornino of Le Center; son, Steve (Evie) Tambornino of Le Center; grandchildren, Jay (Vickie) Tambornino of New Ulm, Sheila (Kevin) Huber of Le Center and Teri (Jason) Squires of Le Center and sister, Rita Tambornino of California; and great grandchildren, Marissa and Taylor Tambornino, Dan and Christina Huber, and Jordan and Matthew Squires.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, George Tambornino, Edith, Mary Grace and Alice.
