Karen Keogh Parsons, of Montgomery, Minnesota, passed away on September 21, 2024, at the age of 75. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, from 4pm-8pm at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 28 at 10:30am with visitation one hour prior at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. The family invites all who knew and loved Karen to join them in honoring her memory. Interment will be held in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery Library or Most Holy Redeemer School, reflecting Karen’s spirit of giving and community support.

Born on April 8, 1949, to Helen and Thomas (Len) Keogh, Karen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt whose love and spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. On August 3, 1968, Karen married the love of her life, Larry Parsons. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising four children. Karen was a nurturing mother, always providing unwavering support and encouragement to her children. In addition to her family, Karen was an active member of her community, known for her kindness and generosity. Karen loved to travel and has been to all 50 states, 35 countries and 6 continents. She cherished her friendships and found joy in creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Karen is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Michele, Sarah (Ken), Amy (Peter), and Michael (Laurie) and her beloved grandchildren, Logan, AJ, Katy, Elizabeth, Tyler, Kali, Thomas, and William: and cherished great grandchild, Sophia; and her brother Jeff (Kathy).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Len Keogh and brother Marvin Keogh.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
