Kay Kuethe, age 78 of Montgomery, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center from 9:00 � 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held also on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
Kay was born on May 8, 1939 in Charles City, Iowa to Freeman and Erla (Paul) Waldemar.
Kay was a graduate of Albert Lea High School in 1957. Kay was united in marriage to Curtis Kuethe on September 21, 1957 in Hartland, MN. She was a homemaker for many years. She had worked at Herter's Manufacturing in Waseca. Kay and Curt purchased the Hide-a-way in Lexington in 1975. Kay loved music, gardening, playing cards, reading, and "Sunday Fun Days".
Kay is survived by her husband, Curtis Kuethe of Montgomery; children, Becky (Allan) Reak of New Prague, Debbie (Ron) Kopet of Le Center, and Sue (Mike) Pekarna of Chanhassen; grandchildren, Matt Reak, Tim Reak, and Jon Reak, Heidi (Joe) Barber, and Chris (Kacey) Kopet; great-grandchildren, Brody Kopet, and Hudson Barber; siblings, Jerry Waldemar of Sunray TX., Tom (Cheryl Wangsness) Waldemar of Rochester, and Julie (Bob) Peterson of Alden; sister-in-law, Marlys (Ray) Hacker of Emmons.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Patty Jacobs.
