Kenny Holicky

Kenneth “Kenny” Holicky, age 73, of Le Center passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25 from 10am to 1pm at the Le Center Funeral Home. Funeral service will also be held at the funeral home at 1pm. Military Honors will be provided by the Le Center area Veterans Honor Guard.

Kenny was born on February 27, 1948 in St. Peter to Norbert and Helen (Flicek) Holicky. He attended McKinley High School in Le Center. Kenny served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, was a general contractor and owned and operated Circle K Resort in Browns Valley, MN. He loved country music, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a dancer, a chef and a teller of amazing stories. In his later years, Kenny came home to the family homestead farm where he was also member of the VFW and American Legion.

Kenny is survived by his children, Christopher (Chelsea) Holicky of Oregon City, OR., Melodie Lewis (David) of Milwaukie, OR., Helen Cleveland (Jeremy) of East Grand Forks, MN., and Kenneth “Norby” of Le Center; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barb Tiede of Le Center, Patricia (Mike) Blaschko of Le Center, Colleen (Gerry) Robinson of Le Center, Robert J. (Carol) Holicky of Belle Plaine, Theresa (Norman) Johnson of Algona, GA., Beverly (Myles) Simon of Montgomery, Kathleen Stang of New Prague, Joyce (Mike) Resch of Mankato, John (Linda) Holicky of Le Center, Jacqueline (Stan) Stocker of Le Center, and Mary Kay (Steve) Jindra of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Suzanne (Robert) Wolff and 1st husband, LeAnder May; brothers-in-law, Jim Tiede and Mike Stang.
