Leona Prososki

On the afternoon of November 21 2013, Leona
passed away peacefully of natural causes. Leona was
comforted by family members at the time of passing.
Leona was 90 years old.
Leona was born June l6th 1923 in Farwell, Nebraska
daughter of Joseph and Prudence Gorecki.
Leona attended country school in Farwell Nebraska, then
on to St. Paul Business College in St Paul, Nebraska. Upon
graduation she worked in Grand Island and Kearney
Nebraska. Then worked for the War Department in
Washington D. C. and San Bernadino, California.
Leona married Raymond J. Prososki July 3, 1945. They
moved to Le Center Minnesota where they owned and operated a
funeral home and furniture store business until they retired. Upon
retirement they moved back to Loup City, Nebraska. After
the death of her husband Raymond in 2007 she moved to
St. Peter, Minnesota where she resided for the last 7 years.
Leona is preceded in death by her husband Raymond J.
Prososki, brother Leonard Gorecki, parents Joseph and
Prudence Gorecki.
Leona is survived by daughter LaDonna and husband
David Kiewatt, daughter Constance and husband Frank
Weber, son Charles and wife Mary Prososki, son David and
wife Marsha Prososki, sister Elaine Rozmiarek, brother
David Gorecki, 21 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
