LeRoy George Thelemann, 82 of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Minnesota Valley Health Care in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with parish vigil service at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Nativity in Cleveland with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at St. Henry Cemetery in St. Henry.

LeRoy was born on November 26, 1932 in rural Le Sueur to Art and Mary (Lang) Thelemann. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. LeRoy was united in marriage to Helen Meyer on June 25, 1955 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center. He farmed, was a school bus driver for 25 years and also taught Le Sueur boat and water safety for 25 years.

He was a Pioneer Power founding member, Commander of Le Center Color Guard and enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing, spearfishing Northerns, gardening, tractors, farming and raising hogs.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Helen Thelemann of Cleveland; children, Susan (Rick) Smith of Rochester, Bill (Sheri) Thelemann of Le Sueur and Jeff (Dayna) Thelemann of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Cody Bunting, Kyle Thelemann, Riley Thelemann, Philip (Janet) Larson, Joe Larson, Pat Larson, Matt Larson, Peter (Amy) Thelemann, Anna (Guy) Tietz, Michael (Katie) Thelemann, and Molly (Mitchell) Sasse; great-grandchildren, Mark Larson, Twins- Helen and Thomas Larson, Alex Olson, Henry Thelemann, Rachel Thelemann, Jase Thelemann and Frank Sasse; siblings, Eleanor Ostrowski of Duluth, Maurice (Evie) Thelemann, St. Peter and Eugene (Rita) Thelemann of Edina.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dr. Art Thelemann Jr.; brother-in-law, Larry Ostrowski and sister-in-law, Bern Thelemann.

Military honors will be provided by the Le Center area Honor Guard.
