RESCHEDULED FUNERAL

Leslie John Emmers, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Visitation will be on December 16 from 9am-10am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am with Fr. Timothy Sandquist, officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Le Center area Veterans Honor Guard and the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Department.

Leslie was born on April 20, 1930 in Mankato to John “Jack” and Marjorie (Kneefe) Emmers. He was a graduate of Le Center High School and later served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Leslie was united in marriage to Marlene Gostomczik at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lexington on April 23, 1957. He worked as a dispatcher and water patrol for the Le Sueur County Sheriffs Department for 37 years, retiring in 2008.

Leslie is survived by his children, John (Roxanne) Emmers of Blaine, and Bryan (Carrie) Emmers of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Tim (Rochelle) Emmers of Good Thunder, Tracy Jacobsen of St. Peter, Caley Emmers of St. Louis Park, and Jaden Emmers of Lonsdale; step-grandchildren, Nickole, Sheila, and Kyle; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Foster; and niece and nephew, Lisa Villwock and Dennis Foster, Jr.

Leslie is preceded in death by wife, Marlene; parents; brother, Richard Emmers; brother-in-law, Dennis Foster Sr.
