Leslie (Les) Ray Eager, age 70 of Le Center, died peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1 PM. Please join us in celebrating the life of Les on Saturday, August 22nd at 1:00 PM at his home, 37151 231st Ave, Le Center, MN 56057 We will have a short service with Military Honors as well. Lunch will be provided following the memorial service. Please stay with us after to share memories, lots of laughs, many good stories, and a bonfire.

Les was born on February 10, 1950 in Madelia, MN to Leonard and Arlene (Johnson) Eager. Les served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1973 reaching the level of E5 and receiving a Vietnam Service Medal. Les was united in marriage on January 8th, 1969 to Cheryl Hanson. They moved to Le Center in 1973. Les and Cheryl divorced in January 1990 and he later married Kathy Knish on September 14, 2002. They divorced in 2014, but remained close friends.
Les was an Electrician and owned and operated Eager Electric for over 40 years. He loved being an Electrician. Les was a past VFW Le Center Post 1803 Commander and member of the American Legion Le Center Post 108. He was an avid horseman and could be often found around town with his favorite horse Dusty and later his mule, Stick. He loved his 1952 Ford Truck and 1963 Chevy Impala, which he won a number of awards with. He also enjoyed numerous hobbies over the years including: boating, camping, motorcycling, snowmobiling, fishing, playing cards, gardening, and always having a good time. Later in life, he loved having his children, step-children, grandchildren, and step-grandchildren visit. Les was bigger than life and he, typically in his cowboy hat, took over a room when he made his entrance. Fun and excitement followed Les. He lived life to the fullest. He was a wild spirit with a tender heart and soul.
Les is survived by his children, Jodi (Todd) Maas of Mapleton, Jessica (Troy) Mediger of Henderson, Jason (Nicole) Eager of Le Center, and Joshua (Jennifer) Eager of Eau Claire, WI; step-children, Jeff Knish of Le Center, Brady (Angela) Knish of Le Center, and Mandy (Wade) Simonette of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Tyler, Lauren, Logan, Cayden, Ethan and Ella; step-grandchildren, Fischer, Reid, Porter, and Harper; siblings, Jeanne Kappel, Lynnae (Jerry) Mueller, Deborah (Ron) Becker, Bradley Eager, Larry Eager, and Natalie Fuller; ex-wives, Cheryl of Mapleton and Kathy of Le Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Dori Eager; niece, Ashley Eager.
