Lillian Agnes Hoffman, of Le Center, loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, went to join her heavenly Father on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Mayo Health System, New Prague, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center, with Father Chris Shofner, Father James Adams, and Deacon Russ Blaschko officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm. beginning with the VFW Auxiliary memorial service, Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Le Center Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to service on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Center.

Lillian was born on October 27, 1936 to Joe and Lillian Budin in Faribault, MN. She was the 4th of 5 children. Lillian attended a small country school in Trebon, continuing her education at St. Mary's Catholic School, and graduating from McKinley High School, Le Center. After school, Lillian went to work at the Le Sueur County Courthouse working her way up to Deputy Register of Deeds.

Lillian married her high school sweetheart, William (Bill) Hoffman, on September 25, 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Le Center. After raising three children, Patti, Brian, and Steven, she embarked on starting her own business as an independent distributor for the Minneapolis Tribune and Pioneer Press which she ran until her retirement.

Lillian had many likes, loves, and interests, with none greater than any activity that involved her grandchildren. She loved attending school events, dance recitals, sporting events, or just simply being around her 7 grandchildren. She also had a great love of watching the Twins and Vikings and was able to see her Twins make the playoffs in 2017. She also carried with her through her life a great love of horses, with her childhood horse, Captain, always being her favorite. Lillian also loved taking pontoon rides with the family, crossword puzzles, trips to Branson, and family vacations to Disney World and various other locations. She was also an accomplished cook all her life, starting as a very young child cooking meals for the family and farm hands and carrying on through her entire life cooking countless family dinners.

Lillian was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, holding various offices including past president for 11 years. She was a member of CCW, former CCD Teacher, Eucharistic Adorer, and very active in many roles at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also active in 4-H as a member and leader of Golden Willow 4-H club, which her father started.

Lillian is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Hoffman; her children, Patti Ann Gruetzmacher, Le Center, Brian (Michelle) Hoffman, Le Center, and Steven (Katie) Hoffman, Rochester; 7 grandchildren, Nanci Gruetzmacher, Christopher, McKenna, Dalton, and Kailey Hoffman, all of Le Center, Jake, and John Hoffman of Rochester; sister, Arlene Lukes, brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Teresa Budin, and sister-in-law, Mary Agnes Budin.

She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Gruetzmacher; sister and brother-in-law, Delia and Donald Blaschko; brother, Jim Budin; and brother-in-law, Donald Lukes.
