Lois Carolyn Holetz, age 90, of Montgomery passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and special caregivers on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Traditions Assisted Living in Montgomery.

Lois was born on February 11, 1931 in New Prague to Erwin H. and Gladys (Castor) Beinhorn. Growing up in New Prague, she graduated from New Prague High School in 1948. She married Milton F. Holetz of Montgomery on September 12, 1952 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague. During her working life she was employed by W. G. Woodward Company, Minnesota Valley Breeders Association, Sears, Roebuck & Company in San Diego, California, Bremerton Gas Company in Bremerton, Washington, "C" Lind Ford, MVBA Harvestore, Montgomery-Lonsdale Public Schools, New Prague Ford and Maxi-Jane's clothing store.

She enjoyed raising her daughters on the family hobby farm along with her husband, cooking, gardening, sewing, and in later years reading novels, doing crosswords and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved and enjoyed being with family and everyone she met was greeted with a smile and considered a friend. While she was most recently living at Traditions Assisted Living in Montgomery all the residents were considered close friends. She truly cared about everyone and staff was greeted with "Hi Sweetie" and when departing, an "I love you". Her faith was strong and showed in the love and caring she had for everyone.

Lois is survived by three daughters, Tamara (Bill) Ove of St. Peter, Heidi Wellentin of Lonsdale and Deidra (Mark) Slavik of New Prague, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband Milton, December 9, 2019, her parents, son-in-law, John Wellentin, brothers Vernon and Virgil Beinhorn, sisters Leola and Gladys Beinhorn.
