Lois Mary Mccabe

Lois Mary McCabe, age 91 of Cleveland, died Monday, May 13, 2019 at Benedictine Living Community of St. Peter. Her last words "give everyone my love". Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15 from 4pm to 8pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 10am at the Church of Nativity in Cleveland with Father James Stiles officiating with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.

Lois was born on September 10, 1927 at home in Le Sueur County to Nick and Mary (Meyer) Pete. She attended Cordova and Le Center Schools. Lois was united in marriage to Thomas Emmett McCabe on September 21, 1950 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Le Center. Lois was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Cleveland and Altar Society of the Church of Nativity. She enjoyed flower gardening and furniture refinishing.

Lois is survived by her children, Tony (Judy) McCabe of Shoreview, Tom (Cindy) McCabe of Cleveland, Jeff McCabe of St. Peter, Mathew McCabe of Le Center, MaryAnn (Kim Yoder) Berg of Iowa City, IA, Kyran (John) McCormack of Ohio, Cindy (George) Meyer of Madison Lake, Germaine Ely of Le Sueur, Connie Derner (Jim Clauss) of Madison Lake, Jackie (Al) Blair of Le Sueur; 38 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Elizabeth McCabe of Le Center, Barb McCabe of Le Center; siblings, Mildred Luebeck of Mountain Lake, Mary Lopez of California, and Clair Pete of Shoreview; many nieces and nephews; and Godchildren.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Tom McCabe; children, Chuck McCabe, Gerard McCabe, and Paul McCabe; son-in-law, Tom Ely; great-granddaughter, Ashlyn McCabe; siblings, Helen Eager, Dorothy Kopet, Nicholas Pete, and baby brother Wilfred Pete; many nieces and nephews; and Godchildren.
