Lorraine Marie (Weiers) Brown

Lorraine Marie (Weiers) Brown, 91, of Mankato passed away at Ecumen Pathstone Living in Mankato on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 1 at 10am at St. Marys Catholic Church in Le Center with Father Chris Shofner officiating. Visitation will be held at the Church from 8am to the time of funeral. Interment will be held at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Lorraine was born on August 19, 1927 in Montgomery to John and Laura (Cordes) Weiers. Lorraine was united in marriage to Harold (John) Brown of St. Thomas on October 16, 1947. Lorraine had worked at the Munsingwear factory, Green Giant, Farmers Seed and Nursery, and Midland Glass. She and her husband farmed for many years in the St. Thomas area before moving to Le Center, Lake Jefferson, and then Mankato.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Mike (Betsy) of Racine, MN., Allen (Mary Lou) of Mankato, and Jim (Julane) of Deer Park, WI.; son-in-law, Bob Hillman of St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Irene Brown of Northfield and Jo Brown of Laurie, MO.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; daughter, Yvonne; brother, Alvin (Ann) Weiers.
