Marcella A. Blaeser

Marcella A. Blaeser, age 94, of Montgomery passed away Monday, November 9th at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee. Public services are postponed until a later date. Private interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Marcella was born April 16th, 1926 in Kimball, South Dakota to Joseph and Anna (McAvinney) Smith. She married Willard “Bill” Blaeser in January of 1952 and raised a family. She was known for her excellent tailoring and loved horses, sewing, flowers, gardening and puzzles.

Marcella is survived by her children, Anne-Marie Blaeser (fiancé Ken Pomije) of Montgomery, Patricia (Duane) Streit of Sun City West, Arizona; sister Mary Ellingson of Eureka, Montana; sister in law, Jeanette Gagnon of Eau Claire Wisconsin; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Marcella is preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Bill” Blaeser; parents; brothers, Owen (Kathleen) Smith, John (Dorothy) Smith; sister, Margaret (Eddie) Guido; brothers-in-laws, John Ellingson, Fran Gagnon, Cliff (Vadne) Blaeser, and Bernard (Beverly) Blaeser.
