Marianne Young

d. October 13, 2015

Marianne Young, 89 of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 due to complications of a heart attack. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with a Celebration of her Life at 11 a.m. also at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Born September 28, 1926, she resided in her home that she built in Montgomery since 1950. She was a loving and caring soul, who put her faith in her family, country, and her beloved Le Sueur County.

Raised a farmer's daughter, her constitution was hardy. Blessed with good health and humor, she could be seen taking care of her home and garden just a few months before her death.

She married her sweetheart, Stan Young on September 3, 1949 and gleefully raised a family of 3 amidst a neighborhood full of friends abounding with other children. Her life was full and so she travelled on the path of her choosing.

Marianne was a member of the American Legion Post #79, Ladies Auxiliary for 66 years and enjoyed all of her friends there. A devout Catholic she found strength and peace within Holy Redeemer Church of Montgomery.

With much tenderness, we honor the life of our dear mother. Her beauty is everlasting and so she shall remain.

Marianne is survived by her children, Tom J. Young (T.Y.) (Margo) and family of New Prague, Patty Young (Doug Folkert) of Phoenix, AZ, Diane Young (Kerry Hanson) of Corvallis, OR.; brothers, Archie Daleiden of New Ulm and Arthur Daleiden of Faribault; grandchildren, Eric Young, Kurt and Cris Young; great-grandchildren, Trevor Knish, Nikaija Young (Honey Bunny) and Kaiden Young (Bearcat)

Marianne is preceded in death by her husband, Stan E. Young and sister, Evelyn Soukup.

Arrangements are with the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. 507-357-6116.
