Mark 'Cid' Choudek

Mark “Cid” Choudek, age 63, of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 3pm to 7pm at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 25 at 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Holy Redeemer School or Montgomery Community Foundation.

Mark was born on July 17, 1956 in New Prague to Edgerton and Ramona (Ruhland) Choudek. Mark attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Montgomery and was a 1974 graduate of Montgomery High School. Mark was united in marriage to Nanette Swan in 1978 at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery and spent the last 24 years with special friend, Michele Calvo. Mark worked construction for Lunda Construction, and Montgomery Golf Course. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, card playing, watching sports, woodworking, and traveling. Mark was a member of the Son's of the American Legion.

Mark is survived by his children, Codi (David) Dvorak, and Kari Swan; grandchildren, Tanner, Owen, Morgan Dvorak, Erin (Calvin) Leisenheimer, Brandon, Taylor, Jordan Reichel, Theodore, Tyson, and Brooklynn Francis; mother, Ramona McGuire of Montgomery; special friend, Michele Calvo of Montgomery; siblings, Cindy (Bob) Gregor of Chaska, Laurie (Kevin) Thoresen of Shakopee, Paul (Julie) Choudek of Brandon, SD., Nancy (Mike) Maxa of Le Center, Dan (Mickey) Choudek of Prior Lake, Becky (Steve) Smisek of New Prague, and Eric (Jessica) Choudek of Bloomington; and many beloved nieces and nephews; and also step-siblings, Mick McGuire, Colleen (Ted) Wondra, Pat (Roxy) McGuire, Sue (Dave) Gregor, Dan (Marina) McGuire, Brian McGuire, and Maureen (Jeff) Franek.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, step-father, Mike McGuire; and many beloved dogs.
