Marlys Ann Schirmer

Marlys Ann Schirmer, age 73, of Mankato died on Monday, May 1, 2018, at Pathstone Living in Mankato. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 1 pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Le Center.

Marlys was born on August 5th, 1944 in Benson MN to Raymond and Alice (Matthews) Schirmer.

Marlys liked playing and listening to her music, reading, doing puzzles, puzzle word books, crosswords, and embroidery and cross stich. She loved dogs and caring for them. Marlys loved to talk, visiting with friends, going out to lunch and short trips with them, and loved to shop. Say the word "shopping" and Marlys would say "I'm ready". Marlys was a sweet person and touched the lives of many people. She will be missed by her family and friends. We all have our own memories.

Marlys is survived by sisters, Viola Iversen of Blooming Prairie, Harriet (Darrel) Palm of Rogers, and Bonnie Schirmer of Faribault; brothers, Reynold Schirmer of Richfield, Robert Schirmer of Brooklyn, NY, and William Schirmer of AZ; niece and five nephews; grand nieces and nephews; many cousins; special friends, Bev and Rick Linnes of Mankato.

Marlys is preceded in death by parents; grandparents; special friend Brian; brother-in-law, Warren Iversen; aunts and uncles.
