Marvin Denzer Sr, 79 of Montgomery passed away peacefully at home Thursday December 18, 2014 surrounded by family. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday December 27, 2014 at Noon at St. John's Lutheran Church, Montgomery, MN with Pastor Robert Kaul officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service from 10:00 am to Noon. Spring interment will be held at St. John's Cemetery in Montgomery.

Marvin was born August 19, 1935 in Lexington Township, Le Sueur County, MN to Wallace and Margaret (Ehrich) Denzer. He was united in marriage to Dorothy (Dietz) on November 5, 1960 at St. John's Lutheran Church Montgomery, MN.

Marvin was an independent owner/operator who drove for International Transport (IT) in Rochester, MN from 1960 -1992 and for Transport Design in Savage, MN from 1992 until his retirement in June 2014. Marvin enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics Truck Convey on an annual basis and was a 10 year veteran of this event. He participated in convoys in both MN and CO and was present the year his granddaughter Tiffany was selected to Team Colorado for the Special Olympics National Games in Ames, IA in 2006. He also enjoyed attending the annual IT Truckers Reunion held in Fergus Falls, MN.
Marvin enjoyed his 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Marvin is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 54 years and four children, Deborah (Greg) Kasper of Belle Plaine; Robert (Lynn) Denzer of Montgomery; Sue (Dave Novak) Novak, Ft. Myers, FL; and Marvin, Jr. (Shelly) Denzer of Waconia; brother Cliff (Joyce) Denzer of Weslaco, TX; three sisters Agnes (Alvin) Tuma of Montgomery, Dorothy (Harry) Moravec of Veslie, and Margaret (Mike) LaPlant of Shakopee and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
