Mary Agnes Dorzinski, age 93 of Le Center, passed away on Friday December 4th, 2020 in New Prague. Private family interment will be at the Fort Snelling Cemetery. Mary Agnes was born on September 1st, 1927 in Belle Plaine Township, Scott County, MN to Lawrence and Mary (Schipreth) Reak. She was united in marriage to Edmund Joseph Dorzinski on August 28, 1954 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Lexington. They had one son Edward Joseph, born on December 22, 1960.
Mary Agnes was very proud to display her three diplomas from McKinley High, Mankato State, and her Teaching Diploma. She was an elementary school teacher for 32 years. She relished spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed playing cards, reading and crocheting. Mary Agnes was very much a patriot of this country and lived every day to its fullest. She did not skip a beat when it came to her quick witted humor and had a tremendous memory right until her final days. She was strong, stubborn and a fighter to the very end. She spent most of the 93 years of her life insisting that she was only 39 years of age.
Mary Agnes is survived by her grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Petersen of Jersey City, NJ, Alex (Jenna) Dorzinski of New Prague and Adam (Lauren) Dorzinski of Tiffin, Iowa. Great-grandsons Max, Sam, and Leo. Niece Julie (Don) Skoy, and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by son Edward Joseph, husband Edmund Joseph, her parents and seven siblings Stanley, Dorothy, Jack, Leo, Evie, Theresa, and Pat.
Her favorite color was blue and favorite Holiday was Christmas. This year will truly be a Blue Christmas without her, and the daily phone calls will be missed greatly.
