Mary Ann Krautkremer, age 92 of Montgomery, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at Traditions of Montgomery. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. also on Monday. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in rural Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Mary Ann was born on March 8, 1923 in Belle Plaine Township to Peter and Anna (Bartusek) Neisen. She was united in marriage to Alvin L. Krautkremer on June 30, 1942 at St. John's Catholic Church in Union Hill. For the next seven years the family farmed in the Jordan area and operated a country store and bar in Augusta, Minnesota in Carver County. In 1949 they purchased a farm south of Montgomery where Mary Ann lived until her move to Traditions in Montgomery in 2009.

She worked at Green Giant for many summers. Mary Ann was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, member of the Arts and Heritage Association, Senior Citizens club, very active in the CCW and also was an active volunteer at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She loved playing cards, crocheting, gardening, and baking. She was a farmer and a farmer's wife, helping with chores and always interested in what was going on in the fields.

Mary Ann is survived by children, Sr. Connie Krautkremer Maryknoll Missions of New York, Dennis (Cindy) Krautkremer of Montgomery, Gene (Linda) Krautkremer of Montgomery, and LaDonna (Dennis) Cullen of Anacortis, WA; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Verena Deutsch of Shakopee, Jane Busch of New Prague, and Armella (Joe) Holden of New Prague; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Julia Krautkremer of New Prague, Gladys Busch of New Prague, and Rosella (Severin) Riesgraf of Belle Plaine; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by husband, Alvin in 2003; parents; brothers, Andrew and Herman; and sister, Clara Giesen.
