Mary Catherine Hunt

Mary Catherine Hunt, 94 of Le Center, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Central Health Care Center in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. FVW and American Legion Auxiliary will also hold a service at 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

Mary was born on August 9, 1920 in Waterville to Mark and Blanche (Stowe) Sheehy. She graduated from Waterville High School. She was united in marriage to Michael Hunt on October 2, 1940. Mary worked at Hardeggar's, Dr. Tiede DDS, Spors and Minnegasco.

She enjoyed word find puzzles, needle point work, card playing, reading, visiting with friends, baking and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, St. Mary's CCW and Bloodmobile.

Mary is survived by children, Jim (Louise) Hunt of Baxter, Mary Jean Hunt of Le Center and Katie Hunt of Edina; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; Daughter-in-law, Marlene Hunt of Le Center and sister-in-law, Carol (John) Sheehy of Waterville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Hunt; son, Thomas Hunt; brothers, Ralph Sheehy, Herb Sheehy and John Sheehy and sister, Loretta Shefland.
