Mary Claire "Molly" Urtuzuastegui, 11, of Montgomery along with her step-father Condon "Sparky" Hulgan passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 due to an automobile accident. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 4 pm to 8pm at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with one hour prior visitation at the Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
Mary was born on May 30, 2002 in Phoenix, Arizona to Doreen Devoy and Brion Urtuzuastegui. She was a 6th grade student at Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Montgomery.
She was a member of Girl Scouts, 4-H where she showed chickens and rabbits at the Le Sueur County Fair, Center Stage Dance, Holy Redeemer volleyball and softball teams School Patrol- She was a rep from school who was chosen to go to Legionville Camp last summer, HRS Spirit Club and she won 3rd place in the American Legion Minnesota State Essay contest for 2012-13 with her essay on \"what freedom she enjoys most in America\" and Singing Angels Choir at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She loved her family and always approached things passionately and whole heartedly.
Mary is survived by Parents; Doreen Devoy-Hulgan of Montgomery and Brion Urtuzuastegui of Yuma, Arizona, brothers; William (14) and John "Jack" (9) Urtuzuastegui of Montgomery, grandparents; Joyce and Pat Shipp of Yuma, Arizona and step-grandparents; James Hulgan of Cornville, Arizona and Josephine Brewer of Pine, Arizona, great-grandparents; Dorothy Starek of Yuma, Arizona and Josephine Urtuzuastegui of Somerton, Arizona, 3 aunts, 1 uncle, 2 cousins and family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Alex Urtuzuastegui, William Michael Devoy, Norma Jean Devoy, great-grandparents James Starek, Charles Urtuzuastegui, Mary Elizabeth Devoy, John T. Devoy, Howard Easton and Ruth Easton.
Memorials are preferred.
