Mary Janovsky

Mary was born in Le Sueur on February 4, 1921 to Hugh and Minnie (Erickson) Doherty. She graduated from Le Sueur High School and attended college in Mankato.
Mary and Edsel were married in Belle Plaine, MN on June 27, 1939 and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in June 2009.

Mary was a dedicated wife, a wonderful homemaker for her children and a master of holiday meals. She was an avid reader, excellent bridge player, enjoyed playing
with the Le Center Mudhens Softball Team, and spent many hours in a boat fishing with Edsel.
Mary and Edsel spent many winters in Weslaco, Texas where they developed skills in playing golf and shuffleboard and looked forward to re-uniting with their
winter friends from around the country.

Mary is survived by 3 children, Ed (Judi) of Weslaco TX and Garrison, MN; Rodney of Dickson, Tenn., Lynda (Jerry) of Waterloo, IA; 5 grandchildren,- Jim, Julie,
MaKai, Jessen, and Dustin; 10 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edsel in 2009, son, Robert in 2008, daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Janovsky in 2014; brothers Vincent and Joe Doherty,
half-brother Clinton and half-sister Margaret .

Memorial service will be held April 25th, 11:30 AM at St. Paul\'s Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
