Mary Josephine Janovsky, long time Mankato Clinic nurse, died at her home in Le Center, MN on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be at Le Center Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 12 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and also one hour prior at the church.

Mary was born on January 3, 1953, to Vernon C. and Catherine (Ballman) Benson. She graduated from Cleveland High School, attended Mankato State and graduated from South Central College in Faribault. Following Graduation, she began her nearly 40 year career with the Mankato Clinic. On March 21, 1979, Mary and Robert Janvosky were married in St. Augustine, Florida. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Jessen and Dustin. Together, they all enjoyed many fishing and hunting adventures. Mary was also passionate about writing poetry, ice fishing, Mille Lacs Lake Lunkers, and, most of all, her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her beloved sons and their families, Jessen & Jennie, and children Addison, Benson, and Maryn of Le Center and Dusty & Sarah and their children, Colton and Kinley of St. Peter; three sisters, Shirley & Philip Hodapp of Cleveland, Nancy & Rich Pehrson of St. Peter, and Bette & Robert Melton of Oronoco; mother-in-law, Mary Janovsky of Waterloo, IA; and many close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents; nephew, Chad Pehrson, and father-in-law, Edsel Janovsky.

Memorials are preferred to Le Sueur County Cancer Research and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
