Mary Tupy

Mary Tupy, age 65 of Montgomery, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 20 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 19 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery and will continue one hour prior to the funeral, also at the funeral home. Private family interment will be at a later date at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Mary was born on April 27, 1952 to Ray and Hattie (Skluzacek) Vesely in New Prague. She attended Most Holy Trinity Catholic grade School in Veseli and New Prague High School. Mary was united in marriage to Ronald Tupy on October 2, 1971 at Holy Trinity Church in Veseli.
Along with raising 4 children, Mary worked at MVE/Chart in New Prague & Burnsville for over 15 years and most recently at UTC Aerospace Systems in Burnsville for 13 years.

Mary just had a way with people. She was always ready with a joke and never missed an opportunity to have fun. Over the years, Mary impacted and touched the lives of so many people with her unmistakable personality. While courageously fighting cancer for five and a half years, Mary never complained and never let her disease take away her one of a kind smile. More than anything, Mary loved her family and spending time with her kids, grandkids and countless friends.

Mary is survived by her husband, Ronald Tupy of Montgomery; children, Kristine (Christopher) McElroy of Otsego, Jacqueline (Travis) Christie of Eden Prairie, Craig Tupy of Burnsville and Curt (Joni) Tupy of Duluth; grandchildren, Jack, Mason, and Samantha McElroy, Carson and Mathew Christie, and Marlowe Tupy; siblings Ronald (Marilyn) Vesely of Webster, and Arlene (Norbert) Sticha of New Prague.

Mary is proceeded in death by her parents; and grandson, Ronnie McElroy.
