Maxine Lois Budin

Maxine Lois Budin, age 82 of New Prague, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Maxine was born on November 26, 1933 in Grundy Center, Iowa to James and Hattie (Hoffa) Buchan. She was united in marriage to Arthur Budin at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on January 9, 1954. She worked on the farm alongside her husband, and in administration for John Fitzgerald, Montgomery Medical Clinic, and Parkview Medical Clinic.

Maxine enjoyed the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, playing cards, playing bingo at Mystic Lake and dining out. She was a member of Extension club and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church organist for over 20 years.

Maxine is survived by her children, Sandy Budin of Bloomington, Patty (Tim) Warnemunde of New Prague, Jeff (Patti) Budin of Burnsville, Jim Budin of Shakopee, John (Barbara Lee-Budin) Budin of Chicago, IL. and Jared (Angie) Budin of River Falls, WI.; grandchildren, Eric and Nathan Warnemunde, Michael (Kallie), David, and Katherine Budin, Jacob, Lindsay, Josh, and Luke Budin, and Madeline Budin; brothers, Leo (June) Buchan of Florence, AZ., and Jim (Sandy) Buchan of Wabasha.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; parents, James and Hattie Buchan; step-father, Cal Ellis; and son, Tommy.
