Michael Alfred Simon Sr.

Michael Alfred Simon Sr., age 65, of Montgomery, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Celebration of Life will also be on Thursday, September 18, at 7:00 p.m. also at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Burial will be at a later date.

Michael was born to Edward Jr. and Elizabeth (Eisert) Simon in Concordia, Kansas on October 17, 1948. He was united in marriage to Sandra (Dressel) Simon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on August 19, 1966. He was a machine operator for his construction excavating company, Simon & Eisert Construction until his retirement in 2004.

He enjoyed Card playing, fishing, motorcycle and car racing and spending time with his family.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Shelly (Paul) Roemhildt of Montgomery, Melinda (Jerry) Skluzacek of New Prague, Melissa (Brad) Westerlund of Jordan and Michael Simon Jr. and fianc� Nichole Scheel of Montgomery; 9 grandchildren, Kyle, Abby, Danielle, Whitney, Dylan, Kayla, Trevor, Ashley and Leelynn; 1 great-grandson due November 2014; siblings, Nicholas (Cheryl) Simon of Montgomery and Frederick Simon and Karen Steinhoff of New Prague; sister-in-laws, Judy Siemers and Kathy Friedrich; sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia (Gary) Persell and Roxanne (Scott) Tuma, many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
