Michael “Mick” Reintjes

Michael “Mick” Reintjes of Elysian, age 74, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Marysburg Catholic Church from 9am-11am with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Father Sandquist officiating. Interment will be held in the Marysburg Cemetery.

Mick was born on April 29, 1947 in St. Peter to Lawrence F. and Catherine E. (Dunn) Reintjes. He was a Waterville High School graduate. Mick and Kathy Kewatt fell in love in the fall of 1969 and were married June 19, 1970. Mick worked at Birdseye in Waseca for 42-1/2 years. Mick enjoyed coon and deer hunting, farming, fishing- on lake on his land where he caught just enough for supper, doing things with his grandchildren especially teaching them to drive tractors, 4 wheelers and the Ranger.

Mick is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Reintjes; son, Dan (Lisa) Reintjes of Isanti; grandchildren, Gavin, Brooklyn, and Clayton; sister, Barb (Ben) Hawkins of Grand Rapids; nieces and nephews.

Mick is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sons.
