Milo John Vavra, 82, of Le Center, died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Visitation will be Monday, November 16, at the Le Center Funeral Home from 4 - 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 17, at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

Milo was born on October 1, 1933 to Fred and Anna (Holey) Vavra in Le Center. Milo served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann (Fix) Vavra in Hinckley, MN on September 12, 1959. Milo worked at the Ford Assembly Plant for 35 years and also farmed.

He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and United Auto Workers. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, reading, playing cards, and playing pull tabs.

Milo is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Le Center; children, Teresa (Don) Minni of St. Paul, James of Milaca, Brenda (Mike) Pittman of Faribault, Cynthia (Tom) Widmer of Le Center, Thomas (Jessie) of Le Center, Annette (Shawn) Yoraway of Loretto, Peter (Lesley) of Le Center and Rose (Dan) Gulbranson of Chaska; grandchildren, Leigh, Kyle, Anna (Jimmie), Crystal, Kayla, Stephanie, Trisha, Matthew, Jenna (David), Jon (Lynn), Tim (Michelle), Tricia (Nick), Todd (Meagan), Josie, Brandi (Leland Jr.), Austin, Jack, Claire, Megan, Lilly, Logan, Adam, and Oakley; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ashton, James, Luke, Lucy, Ashlyn, and Payton; siblings, Chuck Vavra of Le Center and Shirley (Joe) Kopet of Shakopee; sister-in-law, Bonnie Vavra of Redwing; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Fix Jr., Mary Klar-Davis, Andy Helmbrecht, Josephine (Lee) Knutson, Margaret Plasek, and Joe (Sharon) Fix, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Milo is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bev (nee Evans); siblings, Fred (Pat), George, Lucille (Roy) Schmidt, Ben (Deon), Stanley, and Geraldine (Bill) Lerbs, and great-granddaughter, Aurora Jean Love.

Military honors will be provided by the Le Center Honor Guard.
