Olga Elain Heffern

Olga Elaine Heffern, age 90, of Heidelberg passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Ridgeview Hospital in Le Sueur. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating, all at Schoenbauer Funeral Home, Montgomery.

Olga was born on March 4, 1933 to Ole and Helen (Rassmusen) Skogstad. She was baptized and confirmed at Bear Creek Lutheran Church in Grand Meadow, MN. She was united in marriage to John Robert Heffern on July 3, 1953 in Osage, IA.

Olga is survived by children, Douglas (Rose) Heffern of Enning, SD., Patricia (Craig) Stien of Madison, SD., Bill John Heffern of Heidelberg, Dale Heffern (Charlene Artz) of Le Sueur, Gary Heffern of Watertown, and Daniel Heffern of Heidelberg; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Olsen of Grand Meadow; brother, Dennis (Phyllis) Skogstad of Wykoff.

Olga was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; grandson, Aric Stien; brother-in-law, Keith Olsen.
