Richard Dale Russell

Richard Dale Russell, 79, of Montgomery, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Faith Pointe Lutheran Church in New Prague. Funeral Services will also be on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at Faith Pointe Lutheran Church in New Prague. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Richard was born on March 28, 1934 in Cokato to Mauritz and Mable (Taylor) Russell. He graduated from Cokato High School. He served in the United States Navy and worked at Munsingwear in Montgomery as a mechanic for 25 years and also worked at ADC in Le Sueur for 16.
He was a member of the American Legion Club in Savage and a past member of the VFW in Montgomery. He enjoyed working, hunting and fishing.
Richard is survived by children, Richard Jr. and Lisa Russell of Dayton, Mike Russell of New Prague, Steven and Kathy Russell of Le Sueur, Dave and Heidi Russell of New Prague and Sally Ann and Jeff Simon of New Prague; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom Russell of Cokato, Harry Russell of Cokato, Jim Russell of Coon Rapids and Lorraine Olson of Coon Rapids.
He is preceded in death by his parents and uncles and aunts.
