Richard Edward Schloesser

Richard Edward Schloesser, 84, of Le Center, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 28 from 8am to 10am at St. Marys Catholic Church in Le Center with Celebration of Life to follow at 10am. Private family interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

Richard was born on July 4, 1935 in Le Center to John and Mary (Lang) Schloesser. He was a graduate from McKinley High School in Le Center. Richard was united in marriage to Colleen McCabe Kortuem on May 19, 1989. He worked as a dairy farmer all of his life. Richard was a member of the St. Marys Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Le Center school board.

Richard is survived by his wife, Colleen Schloesser of Le Center; children, Julianne and Bruce, JScott, Dale and Jeanne, Mike and Darcy, Kelle and Scott, Terry and Tina, Jamie and Vicki, Chris and Nick, Tony, Devlin and Jodi, Emily and Jason, Greg and Jessica; grandchildren, Luke, Paul, Justin, Leah, Trevor, Rachel, Abbey, Ben, Lauren, Alisha, Molly, Chelsea, Casey, Sara, Jordyn, Ellie, Carter, Mylie, Grayce, Simon, Hailey, Elizabeth, Mallory, and Cardi; great-grandson, Ayden; siblings, Bernadine (Ray) Singer, Bernadette (Marv) Engel, Alvin (Marge) Schloesser, Helen (Vern) Olson, and Evie (Steve) Tambornino.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Beverly; son, Jody; siblings, Syl Schloesser, Herb Schloesser, and Clarence Schloesser.
