Rita M. Snorek

Rita M. Snorek, 78 of Montgomery, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Church in Shieldsville. Funeral services will be also on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. also at St. Patrick Church in Shieldsville. Burial will be at a later date.
Rita was born on July 18, 1935 to Frank A. and Anastasia (Landa) Turek in Montgomery. She was united in marriage to Robert Snorek at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on January 27, 1953.
She worked Green Giant in Montgomery, MVE in New Prague, Viratec in Faribault and farmed along side of her husband for 50+ years. She enjoyed decorating cakes for all occasions, embroidery, needlework, gardening, farming, card playing, cooking, canning, baking and spending time with family.
Rita is survived by husband, Robert T. Snorek of Montgomery; children, Mary (Jerry) Jindra of Le Center, Linda (Ron) Lukes of Montgomery and Robert F. (Karen) Snorek of Montgomery; brother, Norman (Gladys) Turek of Montgomery; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister in infancy.
