Robert Winfred Ruhland

Robert Winfred Ruhland, 82, of Prior Lake, passed away on December 1, 2018. Services are pending.

Robert was born on August 1, 1936 in his home in Montgomery to Reynold and Agnus Ruhland. He was a 1954 graduate of Montgomery High School. Robert was united in marriage to Barbara Nyberg on December 31, 1960 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Bloomington. He served 2 years as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army. At the age of 54, Robert retired from the United States Postal service after 30+ years. He then went to work at North Star Auto where he retired in 2011.

Robert was a member of the Montgomery American Legion, VFW, and the knights of Columbus. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on the farm.

Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara; brothers, Reynold (Alice) Ruhland and Roger (Donna) Ruhland; nieces and nephews, Elliot Ruhland, Roger "Mike" (Dawn) Ruhland, Deborah (James) Ness, Jill Meradith, Timothy (Beth) Lineburg, Eugene Lineburg, John Lineburg, and Robert Lineburg; great nieces and nephews, Cori Ruhland, Justin Ruhland, Rachel Wedig, Marcus Meradith, and Amy Lineburg; his faithful cats, Smokey and Roscoe.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and niece, Debra Ruhland.
