Roger C. Welch

Roger C. Welch, 64, of Le Center, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 also at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be held at Cannonville Cemetery in Waterville.

Roger was born on February 5, 1951 in New Prague to Oren and Christine (Kral) Welch. He graduated from Le Center High School and served in the United States Army. Roger was united in marriage to Bonnie Fischer on September 27, 1973 at United Methodist Church in Waterville. Roger worked as a truck driver for Crystal Farms (Michael's Foods) He also spent many years farming with George Weaver near Waterville. He enjoyed gardening, honey bees, fishing, trapping, hunting, canning and road trips, was a FFA member in high school and was a Le Center American Legion member.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Welch of Le Center; children, Oren Walch of St. Peter, Brandy Walch and special friend Craig Rossow of New Prague and Forrest Welch and Fianc�e Mary Christianson of East Bethel; 2 grandchildren, Brianne Benes and Parker Benes; siblings, Rita (Gary) Harty of Le Center and Raymond Welch of Faribault and Nephews, Allan Welch, Danny Welch and Wade Welch.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents.

Military honors will be provided by the Le Center Honor Guard.
