Rosalyn Sembauer, age 98, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault. Family Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 1 at the Church of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Shieldsville at 10:30 a.m. with visitation 9 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.
Rosalyn was born on October 25, 1921 to Frank and Christina (Vyskocil) Filipek in Montgomery. Rosalyn was united in marriage to Myles Sembauer on June 28, 1938 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. The couple made their home in Montgomery, Minnesota where they owned and ran the Monty Theater. Rosalyn was also employed at Munsingwear as a seamstress and also worked at Green Giant.
Rosalyn is survived by her children, Darvin Sembauer of Faribault and Sally (Robert) Turek of Montgomery; daughter-in-law, Karen Montanez; son-in-law, Ray Stier; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Rosalyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myles Sembauer; son, Myles (Buddy) Sembauer Jr. and infant son, Bobbie Sembauer; daughters, Deborah Stier and Trudy Sembauer; two grandsons; daughter-in-law, Kay Sembauer.
