Rose Adeline (Dietz) Washa

Rose Adeline (Dietz) Washa, 104, of Le Center, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her home in Le Center. Visitation will be Saturday, January, 12 from 9am to 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with funeral service following at 11 also with Father Chris Shofner officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.

Rose was born on December 18, 1914 in Montgomery to August and Rose (Kriha) Dietz. She was a Montgomery High School graduate. Rose was united in marriage to Nathan Henry Washa on November, 12, 1934 in Montgomery. She was a Chairwoman with Mission for 39 years, Deanery mission Chairperson, KC Auxiliary member and CCW member, County Fair volunteer, and a volunteer at Central Health Care. She made rosaries at home for the mission, loved to bake and play cards.

Rose is survived by her children, Kenneth (Ellen) Washa of Fairmont, Sharon (Peter) Kendrigen of Le Center, Robert (Nancy) Washa of Blomkest, Mary (John) Turek of Montgomery; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Nathan; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; parents; and 2 grandsons.
