Rose Mary Zoubek

Rose Mary Zoubek, 80, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Traditions in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Saturday, November 10 at 11 am. with visitation from 10 am to 11 am at the funeral home. Visitation will be on Friday, November 9 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Rose was born on February 8, 1938 in Kilkenny to George and Rose (Frechette) Mader. She attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School and Montgomery High School. Rose was united in marriage to Robert Edward Zoubek, Sr. on June 4, 1960 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Rose worked as a housekeeper at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague for many years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, flowers, card playing, her pets, decorating, and spending time with grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her children, Robert A. "Bob" Zoubek Jr of Montgomery, Gerald Zoubek of Montgomery, Steve (Lisa) Zoubek of Montgomery, and Susan (Dave) Prchal of Montgomery; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Zoubek, Garret Zoubek, Brandon Skluzacek, Chelsey Skluzacek, and Calista Zoubek; great-granddaughter, Macie Rose Zoubek; siblings, George Mader Jr. of New Prague, Mary Anne (Fritz) Herda of Faribault, Janice (Tom) Michaels of Montgomery, Joan Weber of New Prague, and Joyce Anderson of the Twin Cities.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Zoubek Sr.; parents, and half sister, Shirley St. Martin.
