Roselyn H. Ceplecha, 77, from Montgomery passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014 at her home in Montgomery surrounded by her family. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery and continuing 1 hour prior from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on Wednesday, May 21. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale. A luncheon will also be held in Lonsdale at the American Legion following burial.
Roselyn was born July 17, 1936 in New Prague to John J. and Emily (Hruza) Havlicek. She graduated from New Prague High School. She was united in marriage to Roman Ceplecha on October 18, 1954 in Veseli. Roselyn owned and operated R&R Lakeside Greenhouse with her husband Roman for 21 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and garden club, enjoyed gardening, cooking, embroidery, crafts, floral arranging and spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She volunteered at the food shelf and Heritage Hall both in Montgomery.
Roselyn is survived by her husband, Roman Ceplecha; children, Rosanne (Dave) Novak of Minneapolis, Rita (Mike) Sullivan of Eden Prairie, Renee (Brad) Mitchell of Prior Lake and Rick (Kori) Ceplecha of Elko New Market; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Novak of New Prague and Martha Svoboda of New Prague.
She is preceded in death by, parents; son, Rodney Ceplecha; brother John F. Havlicek; sister, Emily Smisek brother-in-laws, Stanley Novak, Eman Smisek and Leroy Svoboda and sister-in-law, Angela Havlicek
