Rosemary (Hayden) Storberg, 71, of Anoka returned to her hometown of Le Center to die peacefully at Central Health Care after an 18 month bout with lung cancer. Rosemary lost her courageous battle, on Sunday, August 27, 2017. Public interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Center on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Father James Adams officiating.
Rosemary was born on September 17, 1945 in Farmington to Gerald "Jerry" and Mabel (Stanek) Hayden. Rosemary attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Le Center and graduated from McKinley High School in 1963. She then attended and graduated from MN Business College of Mankato. Rosemary was united in marriage on May 2, 1970 to David Storberg at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center. They were personally married by her uncle, Monsignor Ambrose Hayden who was the director of the St. Paul Cathedral.
Rosemary was a Charter Commission Member of Lino Lakes for several years; assistant program manager at KSTP for several years and was also a private secretary to Senator Greg Dahl. She enjoyed travelling, scrapbooking and was an avid patron of the theatre. Her favorite past time was her alone time in her private indoor pool and enjoyed visiting on the phone with her classmates and friends.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, David of 47 years; son, Robert (Jennifer) of Arden Hills; grandchildren, Zachary, Lea, Leslie, Jacob, Brittney, and Katlyn; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald J. (Mary Louise) Hayden of Le Center, Dorothy (Harry) (Hayden) Dinwiddie of Le Center; sister-in-law, Doreen (Ray) Maynard of Lancaster, CA.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents.
