Sheryl B. Neubauer

Sheryl B. Neubauer, age 52 of Montgomery, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16 at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Rev. Mark Wilms will officiate.

Sheryl was born on October 4, 1963 to Francis and Myrna Athey in Ortonville, MN. Sheryl graduated from Montgomery Lonsdale High School in 1982, Mankato Technical School in Human Services in 1983, Faribault Technical School as an LPN in 1987, and continued her education at Normandale College for an RN.

She married Roger G. Neubauer at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery on October 1, 2005. She worked as a nurse for 28 years. She recently was working at the American Legion in Montgomery. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Roger; mother, Myrna (Lyle) Terwedo of Montgomery; children, Jim Neubauer of Rochester, Dan (Angie) Neubauer of Le Center, Mike (Jennifer) Neubauer of Le Center, Ryan Neubauer of Montgomery, and Damon (Sara) Athey of Fort Polk, LA; siblings, Donna (Gary) Arnt of Beardsley, MN, Diane (Paul) Bengtson of Washburn, ND, Edward (Tina) Athey of Montevideo, MN, Charlie (Debbie) Athey of Montgomery, Larry (Annette) Athey of West Concord, MN, and Bob (Katie) Terwedo of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Alexis, Emma, Jacob Neubauer, and Cooper Athey.

She is preceded in death by her father, Francis, and grandson, Joshuah Neubauer.
