Shirley Ann Sautter, age 77, passed away on November 1, 2018 at Traditions in Montgomery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8 at 10 am with visitation one hour prior at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center. Interment will be held in Greenwood Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Alzheimer's and the American Cancer Society.
Shirley was born on May 6, 1941 in Montgomery to John B. and Hazel (Squires) Novotny. Shirley was united in marriage to Clair "Sam" Sautter on August 13, 1966 at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. Shirley retired from the Le Sueur County Court House. When her children were young, she enjoyed being a Cub Scout leader. As they grew, she became involved in their various extra-curricular activities. Seldom missing any of their events. She also loved gardening and baking. Once her children were grown her interest turned toward politics and busying herself with various church committees. Bowling, gardening and time with her grand and great-grandchildren, as well as vacations up north.
Shirley is survived by her children, Jerry (Donna) Morrow Jr of Costa Mesa, CA, Jeffrey (Cyndi) Morrow of Montgomery, Gregory Morrow of Rapid City, SD, Deborah (David) Struckman of Le Center, and Lisa (Ronald) Hertaus of New Prague; grandchildren, Kristina (Paul) Nemitz, Jill (Dave) Steinborn, Wendy (Joe) Claffey, Brooke Morrow, Austin Morrow, Dustin (Hannah) Struckman, Adam (Julie) Hertaus, Samantha (Brady) Collier; great-grandchildren, Mason Nemitz, David James Steinborn, Logan Steinborn, Emma Steinborn, Gabriel Coryell, Colton Claffey, Reed Claffey, Ava Hertaus, Reagan Struckman; siblings, Ellen (Dr. Ronald) Dubbe of Waconia, Robert (Maureen) Holmes of Forest Lake, Renee (Michael) Holt of Brook Park, and Mark (Tina) Holmes of Port Orchard, WA.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Clair "Sam" Sautter; Parents, John B. Novotny, and Donald and Hazel Holmes; siblings, Bonnie Stasney, and John L. Novotny; brother-in-law, Clarence Stasney; grand-daughters, Gabrielle and Calli Morrow.
