Stan Voelkel

Stan Voelkel, age 77, of Le Center, MN died on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley, MN with his family by his side. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 11:00 -12:00 PM at United Methodist Church in Le Center, MN; the memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM.

Stan was born August 15, 1938 in Belleville, IL to Harold and Mildred (Florreich) Voelkel. He was united in marriage to Ona Mae Carter on October 2, 1959 in Edgemont, IL. He was a manufacturing engineer for WINCO in Le Center from 1977 to 2004. Stan owned and operated a small business with his wife, Ona from 1985 to 2010.

Stan was a member of Auto Restorers of Mankato/St. Peter, Minnesota Impala Club, National Impala Association, MN Street Rod Association, the Lions Club, and Masons. He was a loving father and husband who enjoyed spending time with his family, working on classic cars, and gardening.

Stan is survived by his wife, Ona Voelkel of Le Center; children, Jon (Pam) Voelkel of Le Center, Jamie (Tom) Berry of Rochester, MN, Jill Espeseth of Ladysmith, WI, and Jason (Amy) Voelkel of Bloomington, MN; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, Patrick A. Voelkel of Belleville, IL.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents.
