Stanley William Busta, age 83 of Montgomery, passed away Friday morning, January 22, 2016 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery from 2 pm to 5 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church.�Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. Lunch will follow burial at the American Legion in Montgomery.
Stan was born on November 18, 1932 in Montgomery to James and Anna (Kaderlik) Busta. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He worked as a custodian for the Montgomery School District for several years. After that service he worked as a custodian for Most Holy Redeemer Church and School. He also served as a guide/ instructor/ teacher of bowling to a great many Montgomery children. "Roll the ball, roll the ball." After his retirement he enjoyed gambling bus trips and visits to many establishments in Montgomery. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Knights of Columbus.
Stan is survived by his cousin, Helen (Kaderlik) Drentlaw, who he called his sister. He is also survived by Kenneth Drentlaw, Connie White Tupy, Jeremy Drentlaw, Annette White, Jason Drentlaw, Jacob Drentlaw; and special friends, Garry and Gloria Quance , and numerous relatives and friends.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Milo Busta, and sister, Evelyn (Busta) Bily.
Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery area Honor Guard.
