Sylvia Trcka

Sylvia Trcka, age 96 of Belle Plaine, died Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 29 at 11am at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with visitation 1 hour prior with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating. Interment will be at Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery.

Sylvia was born on March 4, 1922 in Montgomery to Rudolph and Christina (Holey) Shetka. Sylvia was united in marriage to Matthew Trcka on March 5, 1944 in Le Center. She loved the farm and was a farmer all her life.

Sylvia is survived by children, Emil Trcka of Montgomery, Joanie (Al) Janousek, Shakopee, Betty (Joe) Pecholt of New Prague, Rose (Jack) Widmer of New Prague, and Dorthy Trcka of Montgomery; 17 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucille Heyda, George Shetka, Dora Jindra, Betty Trinka, and Harriet Eisert.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband; son, Tom Trcka; daughter, Helen Sladek.
