Theresa Marie Hinderscheit

Theresa Marie Hinderscheit, age 81, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, from 4 to 7pm and Friday, June 4, from 8:30 to 9:30am at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 4, at 10am at St. Johns Catholic Church in Union Hill.

Theresa was born on November 1, 1939 in New Prague to Angela (Machacek) and Henry Simon. Theresa graduated from New Prague High School. She was united in marriage to Melvin Hinderscheit on September 13, 1958 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague.

Theresa was a bank teller in New Prague. She also worked at Mladeks grocery store in Montgomery and Zacks grocery store in New Prague. She enjoyed spending time with family, baking, cooking, reading, and counted cross stitching.

Theresa is survived by her children, Joanie (doug) Filzen of New Prague, Mary Thielke of Marshall, David (Joan) Hinderscheit of Northfield, Joey Hinderscheit of New Prague; siblings, Les (Darlene) Simon of Blaine, Angela Whipps of Le Center, Myles (Bev) Simon of Montgomery, Jim (Ann) Simon of New Prague; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; parents, Angela and Henry Simon; and brothers, Henry Simon and Ted Simon.
