Vincent “Vince” Leonard Holicky

Vincent “Vince” Leonard Holicky, age 97, of Le Center, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29 from 4pm to 7pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, October 30 at 10am at St. Marys Catholic Church in Le Center with visitation one hour prior at the church with Father James Stiles officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Le Center. Military honors will be provided by the Le Center area Honor Guard.

Vincent was born in Cordova Township on May 21, 1922 to Albert and Albina (Deutsch) Holicky, Sr. Vincent served in the United States Army from 1946-1947. He was united in marriage to Jeannine Schwartz on October 3, 1950 at St. Canice Church in Kilkenny. He and Jeannine farmed all their life. Vincent enjoyed fishing, pheasant/ deer hunting, playing the harmonica, spending time with his grandchildren, and also known for his pie baking.

Vincent is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Conroy of Red Wing, and Charlene (Rick) Manke of Lake Crystal; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Conroy Jr., Melissa Conroy, Vincent Conroy, Todd Manke, and Holly (Michael) Peitz; great-grandchildren, Kayden Tucker, Landon Conroy, Zoey Tucker, Michael Conroy III, and Thomas Conroy; sister-in-law, Maryanne Holicky of Le Center.

Vincent is preceded in death by his wife, Jeannine on March 7, 1996; his parents; grandson, Thomas Conroy; siblings, Albert Jr. (Dorothy), George, Francis (Mary Evelyn), Adolph (Ruth), Wilber (Marjorie), Helen (Thomas) David, and Leonard.
